Nutrition is all about balance. Having a good understanding of what we’re putting into our bodies is the first step in creating that harmony.


As a holistic dietitian, I focus on all layers of the body- physical, energetic, emotional, your intuition, and what makes you feel at bliss. I’ll help you set standards for your wellness, not goals. Together, we’ll focus on cultivating the most sustainable, highest version of you.

Where did First Layer come from?

The yogic principle of Koshas, or sheaths, guides us through five layers of existence, each bringing us closer to our true essence.

By working with our First Layer, through nutrition and holistic wellness, we gain access to our deeper layers.

  • The Annamaya Kosha, or the Food Sheath, is the outermost layer, representing our physical body.

    It’s the tangible aspect of our being, nurtured by the food we eat and the physical activities we engage in.

    First Layer Wellness was created with this vital Kosha in mind.
    We focus on the physical body by creating nutritious meals + movement, which provides us a strong foundation for exploring the deeper layers.

    Think of this layer as the fertile soil from which your inner self can grow and flourish.

  • Beneath the physical lies the Pranamaya Kosha, the sheath of vital energy. This layer governs our breath and life force, known as prana.

    It’s the pulsating energy that fuels every cell and organ, linking the physical body with the mind.

    As you nourish your physical body, you naturally enhance your energy body, allowing the flow of energy to move freely and invigorate your entire being.

  • The Manomaya Kosha, or the Mind Sheath, encompasses our thoughts, emotions, and cognitive processes.

    It’s where our mind interprets and responds to the world around us. A well-nourished body and balanced energy flow create a serene mental environment.

    At this layer, mindfulness and mental clarity begin to blossom, fostering a peaceful and focused mind.

  • Deeper still is the Vijnanamaya Kosha, the sheath of wisdom and intuition.

    This layer transcends ordinary intellect, guiding us with inner knowing and insight. When the body and mind are in harmony, the wisdom of the Vijnanamaya Kosha shines through, offering clarity and deeper understanding.

    Here, we start to recognize the interconnectedness of all aspects of our being.

  • At the core lies the Anandamaya Kosha, the sheath of bliss.

    This innermost layer represents our true self, untouched by the fluctuations of the outer world. It is pure joy, love, and peace.

    By nurturing the physical body and aligning the energetic, mental, and wisdom layers, we access the profound bliss of the Anandamaya Kosha.

    This is where we experience our highest potential and the essence of who we truly are.
